Welcome to Lincoln County School District #2’s website! LCSD#2 is located in western Wyoming with communities in Star Valley and Cokeville. We serve approximately 2,600 students in five elementaries, two middle schools and three high schools. It is one of the highest achieving districts in the state and we continue to look for ways to be better. Our elementary schools are K-3, 4-6 in Star Valley; our middle school is 7-8 and our high school 9-12. In Cokeville we have a K-6 elementary and a 7-12 high school.
LCSD#2’s mission is to enrich the lives of our students by providing them with a rigorous, relevant education. We also emphasize the important of building positive relationships.
This year we are piloting a new calendar at Star Valley High School. Our efforts are to improve contact time between certified teachers and their students while still allowing the students opportunity to be involved in the many positive activities. To review the calendar you can click on the link on the websites home page. As I mentioned this is a pilot year and we welcome your feedback. Cokeville schools are currently on a four-day week calendar and have been for the past seven years. They have experienced tremendous success with this schedule.
I consider it a tremendous privilege to be the superintendent. We have wonderful students, supportive parents and a fantastic staff who is interested in doing what is best for the students of this district. We also have a very supportive school board who shares the vision of enriching students’ lives. Please feel free to share your feedback on any concerns or comments you may have. I can be reached at 307-885-3811 or jabrams@lcsd2.org.
Sincerely,
Jon Abrams
Superintendent of Schools
